About the position

As a Senior Embedded Firmware Design Engineer at Jabra, you will lead the architecture, design, development, and implementation of embedded software for innovative video collaboration products. This role requires collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams and external partners to ensure successful product execution and testing. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of camera software, from initial design to mass production support, while interfacing with various hardware and software vendors to achieve efficient and cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, development, and implementation of embedded software for camera products.
  • Oversee bring-up, testing, production releases, and support for mass production.
  • Utilize tools and applications on Windows, Mac, and Linux for development and debugging.
  • Support diagnostics and device operations, and interface with hardware and software vendors for system integration.
  • Drive key aspects of product definition, execution, and testing.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in computer science or computer engineering with 4-8 years of experience.
  • Experience with Embedded Linux/Android and RTOS on ARM processors.
  • Proficient in USB (hotplug drivers) and experience with video devices, image sensors, and image processors.
  • Familiarity with uboot, CFE, ramFS, I2C, SPI, I2S, UART, Flash RAMs, LCD, and SD cards.
  • Proficient in C and C++ programming in 8, 16, and 32-bit embedded environments, with knowledge of assembly language.
  • Experience with audio and video codecs, UVC, and UAC protocols is a plus.
  • Extensive experience with software engineering processes and tools, and comfort with lab tools such as debuggers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and project management skills.
