About the position

As a Senior Flight Operations Specialist at Honeywell, you will oversee and manage flight operations to ensure safe and efficient aircraft operations. This role involves coordinating flight schedules, optimizing resources, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, contributing significantly to the success of our aviation operations.

Responsibilities

  • Process the flight department bills and manage the flight operations budget working in collaboration with finance
  • Handle miscellaneous administrative tasks within the flight department and assist the VP - Flight Operations with meetings and scheduling
  • Provide trip scheduling, continual flight following, and accurate passenger and crew manifests
  • Schedule travel for company passengers on all modes of transportation, including the company aircraft
  • Schedule ground transportation and accommodations for crew members and passengers
  • Schedule company aircraft for flights and maintenance
  • Enter flight times and keep department flight records
  • Retain passenger manifests and logs for all flights
  • Maintain current information on the location of Honeywell Flight Operations aircraft
  • Provide flight crews with Flight Plan and weather information
  • Arrange aircraft fueling for trips and negotiate discounts with fuel providers
  • Obtain necessary landing/overflight permits, slots, and/or visas for passengers and crew members when flying into and out of foreign countries
  • Select and arrange Fixed Base Operators (FBOs)
  • Assist the Dispatch Manager with any delegated duties

Requirements

  • Experience in aircraft scheduling and handling aircraft crew member needs
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in flight planning and working with domestic and international flights
  • Providing administrative support to the Flight Operations Department
  • Receiving and processing mail and shipping
  • Assisting the Vice President, Flight Operations with any delegated duties
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • FAA Aircraft Dispatch License
  • Bachelor's degree in aviation management or a related field
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
