About the position

The Senior Fluid Systems Engineer at Acutronic is responsible for the design, development, and optimization of fluid systems within gas turbine engines. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of these systems, contributing to advancements in the aerospace and power generation industries. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing advanced gas-turbine systems and components, working within a dynamic team on cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced gas-turbine systems and components with a focus on dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer, applied to small-scale turbine systems.
• Perform sizing and selection of critical fluid system components such as precision orifices, solenoids/valves, pumps, drives, fluid channels/tubing, etc.
• Prepare, review, and approve fluid system schematics, calculations, models, Bills of Material, and acceptance test work instructions.
• Prepare and present design review materials.
• Prepare acceptance test procedures and write system manuals.
• Interface with customers during the design process and provide customer support after delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university, required.
• A minimum of seven years of experience in a related engineering environment, required.
• Experience with CFD and other fluid analysis software, ANSYS preferred.
• Experience with 3D CAD software, Siemens NX preferred.
