About the position

The Senior Food and Beverage Operations Manager at The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort is responsible for supervising daily food and beverage operations, ensuring compliance with policies and standards, and managing the overall guest experience. This role involves maintaining the operating budget, monitoring quality, and leading a team to meet customer expectations while fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises daily Food and Beverage (F&B) shift operation and ensures compliance with all F&B policies, standards and procedures.
  • Manages day-to-day operations, monitors quality, and meets customer expectations.
  • Maintains the operating budget and verifies compliance with standards and legal obligations.
  • Assists in the ordering of F&B supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms.
  • Supports and supervises an effective monthly self-inspection program.
  • Supervises staffing levels to meet guest service and operational needs.
  • Encourages mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize and organize work.
  • Monitors and maintains employee productivity levels.
  • Communicates areas needing attention to staff and follows up to ensure understanding.
  • Coordinates cleaning programs in all F&B areas and identifies trends for improvements.
  • Creates a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and service passion.
  • Provides exceptional customer service and improves service by understanding guest needs.
  • Administers the performance appraisal process for direct report managers.
  • Conducts employee performance appraisals according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Interviews and hires management and hourly employees with appropriate skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 5 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 3 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
