About the position

Red River is seeking candidates with significant experience and skills in the analysis, design, and development of Identity and Access Management (IAM) technology solutions operated as a shared service utilized by Information Systems within the enterprise. Candidates will have demonstrable skills in architecting, configuring, building, deploying, and supporting an IAM solution utilizing Open Access Management (OpenAM), ForgeRock OpenAM, or similar IAM products/solutions. A deep understanding of DoD and government security standards and policies are needed to ensure all deployed changes are highly secure and available. The candidate will work directly with senior-level systems and software engineers and architects to design and implement solutions in a large complex worldwide enterprise. Primary Position Tasks include designing, developing, and implementing IAM solutions using the ForgeRock product suite (OpenAM, OpenIDM, OpenDJ, OpenIG). The role requires configuring and customizing ForgeRock components to meet the specific needs of the organization, integrating ForgeRock solutions with various applications and systems to ensure seamless authentication and authorization processes, and developing and maintaining custom scripts and connectors for ForgeRock products. Additionally, the candidate will ensure that solutions meet maintainability, reliability, sustainability, capacity, and security requirements while supporting the Program Management Offices (PMOs) and/or users to address their requests, questions, and concerns. Other business duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement IAM solutions using the ForgeRock product suite (OpenAM, OpenIDM, OpenDJ, OpenIG).
  • Configure and customize ForgeRock components to meet the specific needs of the organization.
  • Integrate ForgeRock solutions with various applications and systems, ensuring seamless authentication and authorization processes.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts and connectors for ForgeRock products.
  • Ensure solutions meet maintainability, reliability, sustainability, capacity, and security requirements.
  • Support the Program Management Offices (PMOs) and/or users to address their requests, questions, and concerns.
  • Perform other business duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on Java/JavaScript development experience.
  • 7+ years total experience supporting enterprise-class applications in a significant engineering or development role.
  • 3+ years of experience in identity and access management leveraging OpenAM, ForgeRock, CyberArk, Okta, Ping Identity, or similar suite of products.
  • Advanced knowledge of LDAP, directory services, application servers, and network infrastructure.
  • Experience with standard authentication protocols and frameworks such as SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC.
  • Experience with web services and APIs (REST, SOAP).
  • Experience integrating and deploying IAM solutions with web-based applications to provide authentication and authorization.
  • Experience designing and implementing IAM solutions for high availability and disaster recovery.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent experience.
  • DoD Secret clearance (Desired).
  • Certification(s) in ForgeRock product suite (Desired).
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean Startup, XP) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Business Analysts).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a track record of taking solution ownership.
  • Ability to articulate design and configuration choices and bring about consensus.
  • Proficiency in industry recognized productivity tools such as Office 365.
