About the position

The Senior FP&A Analyst at Dime Community Bank is responsible for creating and managing the bank's financial forecasts using the financial forecasting model. This role involves preparing reports for management and the board, tracking actual performance against forecasts, and collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate financial planning. The position requires a strong background in finance, particularly within the banking sector, and proficiency in financial analysis tools.

Responsibilities

  • Own the process for preparing monthly/quarterly/annual financial forecasting updates and reports in Dime's Forecasting software (Axiom EPM).
  • Maintain and update Dime's Financial Forecasting model inputs related to interest rates, deposit and loan projections, and other internal and external points of data that impact Dime's forward-looking financial outlook.
  • Prepare forecast report backups and coordinate with department leaders and executive management.
  • Create and distribute ad-hoc reports to Business Lines and Executive Management related to the budget/forecast.
  • Assist Corporate Development Manager in updating the bank's annual Strategic Plan Narrative document.
  • Assist with various special projects assigned to department, such as profitability analysis and quarterly earnings reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Finance/Accounting or quantitative business field.
  • Minimum 2+ years' related experience in banking, with a financial institution or in Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • Experience with Axiom EPM or another Financial Planning & Analysis / Asset Liability Management software preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
  • Flexibility to work across all functions/levels in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proactive and detail oriented.

Benefits

  • Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $80,000 to $105,000 annually.
