About the position

The Senior FP&A Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the financial planning and analysis functions within KW Property Management & Consulting. This position involves regular collaboration with the Executive Director of Developer Services and developer teams to prepare and review residential budgets and shared project budgets. The analyst is expected to uphold the company's mission and values while ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with Developer team, clients, and consultants regularly to assist with budget estimates.
  • Establish policies and procedures for budgeting as needed.
  • Establish benchmarking for various project operating costs.
  • Assist in problem-solving as needed.
  • Gather specific data including market trends on labor costs and other financial metrics.
  • Provide training on budgets as needed.
  • Participate in Regional DM meetings and other corporate or industry meetings if requested.
  • Meet periodically with Boards, Developers, Consultants, and KWPM staff to provide budget information.
  • Respond to requests from Boards, Developers, and/or KWPM staff in a timely manner, ensuring professional communication within 24 hours.
  • Keep abreast of material expenses that may affect budgeting.
  • Assess tasks and prioritize them to ensure completion of deliverables by deadlines.
  • Perform administrative functions including record keeping, accounts receivables, and billing.
  • Track important dates and meetings related to projects.
  • Train on budget processes and/or utilization of budget templates.
  • Work with financial institutions as needed.
  • Review association governing documents for budget preparation.
  • Utilize KWPMC systems.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' work experience preparing budgets.
  • 3-5 years of industry experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, or other Business Degree.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting for not-for-profit entities (HOA, Condo Association, etc.).
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and a commitment to meeting reporting deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel and Word) with advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge and experience with Power BI is a strong plus.
