The Senior FP&A Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the financial reporting and analysis for the Americas region at Trane Technologies. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including period-ending analysis, coordination of the monthly forecast process, and assisting in the development of both the long-range and annual operating plans. Responsibilities

  • Support the month-end reporting and analysis for the LSS business unit, including risks and opportunities, financial bridge, and weekly pulse coordination and consolidation.
  • Act as a liaison for the Equipment revenue forecast process between sales and factory to ensure timelines and targets are properly established and communicated.
  • Support operational reviews including the Monthly Operating Review (MOR), Quarterly Business Review (QBR), and monthly president reviews (B&O).
  • Assist in the forecasting processes for LSS SBU, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP), and quarterly forecast updates.
  • Collaborate with finance leaders to communicate established timelines and deliverables for forecasting processes.
  • Support SG&A functions with business partnering, monitoring spend vs budget, and investment tracking/business case development.
  • Develop tools for early identification of financial problems, including financial dashboards to visualize results and trends.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and standardization across business units, including monthly close processes and improved reporting tools.
  • Conduct routine and ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions.
  • Perform Journal Entries and BS reconciliations applicable to SBU-wide processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of related experience, specifically in FP&A.
  • Experience with financial reporting cycles, including forecasts, budgets (AOP), and long-range planning (LRP).
  • Strong systems knowledge, preferably with Hyperion, OneStream, MS Office Suite; familiarity with PPM/UMT, Tableau, Alteryx, or similar analysis tools.
