About the position

The Senior FP&A Analyst at EquipmentShare will play a crucial role in driving profitability through data-driven analysis. This position involves leading the development of financial forecasts, collaborating with department leads to identify key performance indicators, and providing strategic insights to business leaders. The analyst will utilize advanced modeling techniques to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and mentor junior analysts, ensuring continuous improvement in financial planning and analysis processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and preparation of annual and quarterly forecasts and long-term financial projections and scenario analyses
  • Collaborate with department leads to identify key performance indicators and business drivers including ongoing reporting and monitoring
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to business leaders and evaluate impact of strategic initiatives and business opportunities
  • Utilize advanced modeling techniques to analyze a wide range of data and financial statements, and turn that data into action
  • Prepare and present period financial reports to key stakeholders, develop and maintain financial dashboards and ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
  • Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis including continuous improvement of FP&A processes and systems
  • Mentor and train junior FP&A analysts and lead and coordinate FP&A team activities and projects

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience or education focused on financial planning & analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Accounting/Finance or related field
  • Expert-level Excel skills
  • SQL experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of financial data: forecasting, reporting, and analysis experience
  • Ability to swiftly extract key insights from data
  • Proven ability to approach complex problems with curiosity and an analytical mindset
  • Adapt quickly, manage competing projects and challenge the status quo

  • Experience in a corporate finance environment
