About the position

The Senior Freight Forwarding Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the movement and growth opportunities for inbound and outbound cargo for freight forwarding customers. This role ensures compliance with governmental regulations and collaborates with various stakeholders to manage international and domestic air and ocean shipments. The position requires a blend of individual expertise and team management, focusing on enhancing productivity and quality within the operations team.

Responsibilities

• Support the movement and growth opportunities for inbound and outbound cargo for freight forwarding customers.
• Ensure freight is processed in compliance with governmental regulations.
• Collaborate with vendors, customers, commercial airline carriers, ocean freightliners, and internal support groups for shipment management.
• Manage a union workforce effectively.
• Provide functional expertise in freight forwarding operations.
• Analyze multiple data sources to understand and solve complex problems related to freight forwarding.
• Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Requirements

• Freight forwarding experience (preferred).
• People managing experience (preferred).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., or authorized to work in the U.S.
