About the position

The Senior Front-End Developer at Wilbur-Ellis plays a crucial role in designing and creating user-friendly websites that align with business requirements. This position involves translating UI/UX design wireframes into actual code, thereby producing the visual elements of applications. The developer will bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, actively participating in both aspects to define how applications look and function. The role requires a strong understanding of front-end development technologies and methodologies, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including program managers, UI/UX designers, and software engineers. In this position, the developer will analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures, collaborating with other developers and business analysts to develop new software programs and applications. The role encompasses participation in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, analysis, design, programming, testing, maintenance, documentation, and troubleshooting. The developer will be responsible for defining, developing, coding, translating, testing, analyzing, and maintaining new software programs and applications to support business objectives and specifications. Additionally, the developer will assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems as assigned by the Development Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Design and create user-friendly websites to meet business requirements.
  • Translate UI/UX design wireframes into actual code for visual elements of applications.
  • Bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation.
  • Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures.
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to develop new software programs and applications.
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Define, develop, code, translate, test, analyze, and maintain new software programs and applications.
  • Liaise with program managers, UI/UX designers, and software engineers to resolve software product issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Development Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of development experience on Front End platforms.
  • 5+ years working with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
  • 5+ years developing responsive UI websites with reusable code libraries.
  • 5+ years working with JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodology.
  • Experience with CI/CD and GitHub pipelines and Azure DevOps.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years' experience with UI/UX tools such as Figma or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Working knowledge of progressive web apps and AI chatbots.
  • Working knowledge of Python/Java/Django.
  • W3C Certification or any certificate from an accredited academy.
