About the position

The Senior Front End Developer at AIG plays a crucial role in delivering enterprise-wide IT solutions for Global Warranty front end applications. This position requires collaboration with global teams to provide IT support, drive continual improvement, and ensure the successful rollout of front-end changes. The developer will interpret requirements, oversee incident resolution, and manage reference architecture, contributing to the overall performance and functionality of applications.

Responsibilities

  • Interprets established requirements management methodology/tools to identify, verify, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Plans and oversees the successful roll-out of front-end changes to the production environment.
  • Provides oversight to major incident and/or problem resolution.
  • Performs incident analysis to identify service problems and develops plans to address them.
  • Analyzes the current system environment and infrastructure using technical tools and utilities.
  • Works with development workstreams to ensure modified infrastructure interacts appropriately and meets performance requirements.
  • Owns, creates, and manages the reference architecture and associated artifacts for the information and middleware layer.
  • Determines, monitors, and communicates performance levels/metrics for each supplier.
  • Performs testing, debugging, and application documentation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years relevant experience in front end development.
  • Basic understanding of business/technology area and operating environment.
  • Experience with ReactJS, Microsoft Services, JIRA, Github, TFS, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS.
  • Developing and refining advanced application management skills.
  • Problem-solving, curiosity, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience or awareness of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development pipelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a financial services environment.
