About the position

The Senior Vue.js Front-End Web Application Engineer at SciShield will play a pivotal role in leading the front-end user experience of the company's flagship product. This position involves collaborating closely with the Product and Development Teams to implement user interfaces that are scalable and robust, utilizing Vue.js to interact with backend APIs. The role emphasizes ownership, accountability, and the ability to work effectively within a distributed team, while also contributing to the modernization and redesign of the product's user interface.

Responsibilities

• Lead the front-end user experience of the flagship product, SciShield.
• Collaborate with the Product Team and Development Team to implement user interfaces.
• Architect and build interfaces and API-driven applications using Vue.js.
• Drive unit, integration, and behavioral tests in the Vue.js framework.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and debates for product improvement.
• Document and enforce a style guide and user interface standards.

Requirements

• Expertise in architecting and building interfaces using Vue.js.
• Strong communication skills and ability to keep stakeholders updated.
• Experience with RESTful web services and consuming data from them.
• Ability to work reliably on a distributed team with little oversight.
• Results-oriented with a strong customer focus.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with PHP or willingness to learn basics for backend API development.
• Basic familiarity with SQL and database-driven applications.
• Experience with wireframe software and wireframe templating.
• Affinity for usability and front-end user experience.
