About the position

Gallup is seeking an experienced senior front-end web developer to join our Gallup.com team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing large-scale, data-driven websites; seamlessly integrating with content management systems and third-party tools; and crafting interactive visualizations that make complex data engaging and accessible.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build responsive, high-performance websites and interactive data visualizations using CSS, JavaScript and HTML in a Microsoft .NET environment
  • Bring Gallup's brand and research to life through compelling interactive storytelling
  • Work closely with UX designers, product managers and fellow developers to create new features and improve existing functionality
  • Implement best practices for Google Analytics, SEO and web accessibility to maximize user reach and engagement
  • Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers and help define front-end coding standards
  • Troubleshoot, test and optimize website functionality for speed, security and usability

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS or a related field required
  • At least five years of hands-on experience with CSS, JavaScript, HTML and modern front-end frameworks required
  • At least five years of experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, TFS, SVN), content management systems and cloud-based web services required
  • Experience developing marketing and e-commerce solutions for A/B testing, SEO and marketing automation required
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) required

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with AWS infrastructure preferred
  • Exposure to large-scale enterprise software environments preferred
  • Familiarity with React preferred
  • Availability to work on-site at Gallup's Omaha office at least three days a week required
