About The Position

Dovetail Software is hiring a senior frontend developer to work on our HR Case Management SaaS product. We're looking for someone who has a strong background in frontend development, with a strong commitment to software quality and automated testing. You'll be working on a small team that develops applications for large businesses on top of the latest AWS technologies. You will work directly with the rest of the development and operations teams in building the product to make the best user experience for our customers. Our Product software development practices and technologies include React, Backbone, ASP.NET, C#, .NET Framework/Core, NodeJS, Amazon Web Services (EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora MySQL, ECS, etc), Test-driven development, Continuous integration, Git and Github (for SCM and issue tracking).

Requirements

• Proven experience as a frontend developer or similar role
• Ability to work remotely, within the PT-ET time zones
• Excellent JavaScript knowledge in front end libraries and React.js ecosystem
• Deep experience with UI libraries and design systems
• Experience with code versioning tools like git
• Versatility in the JavaScript ecosystem and programming languages in general
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Great attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• Strong TDD background
• Strong software design skills

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with MySQL is a plus
• CS degree is a plus

Responsibilities

• Owning front-end development for our SaaS product
• Implementing new user-facing features using React.js
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across major browsers
• Translating user stories, specs, and wireframes into high-quality code that delivers value to the end-user
• Assist the support team in diagnosing and fixing issues reported by customers
• Peer code reviews with a high level of attention to detail
• Working with product management to design features and improvements to our application with a focus on user experience.
