About the position
The Senior Frontend Developer at SimplyAnalytics will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of a cutting-edge analytics and data visualization application. This position involves working on both in-house tools and customer-facing features, contributing to the overall direction of the product. The role emphasizes a collaborative work environment and offers a flexible, remote work setup, allowing employees to work from various locations across North America.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test features, both in-house and customer-facing
- Write modern high-quality, clean, scalable, and maintainable code
- Contribute ideas for new features or improvements to existing features
- Assist colleagues through code-review, collaboration, and troubleshooting
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience on large, structured code bases using vanilla JavaScript
- Strong UI development skills (CSS & HTML)
- Open to learning new technologies
- Self-starter who gets things done
- Attention to detail
Nice-to-haves
- Experience implementing data tables, charts, graphs, or other data visualizations
- Experience working on complex analytics, data visualization, or mapping applications
- D3.js experience
- MapLibre GL JS or Mapbox GL JS experience
- Experience with geospatial, demographic, business, marketing, or health data
- Experience with TypeScript
- Comfortable using Linux CLI
