About the position

WeTheHobby is looking for a tactical-minded Front-End Developer to join their Dev Team. This role involves developing and maintaining the front-end code for various e-commerce platforms, ensuring a seamless and engaging shopping experience for customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end development and a passion for the intersection of design and development, contributing to exceptional online experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Create custom front-end solutions using React.js, JavaScript, and other relevant frameworks.
  • Develop reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
  • Work closely with back-end/full-stack developers to integrate APIs and other services.
  • Design and develop visually appealing and highly functional web applications focused on driving sales and enhancing user engagement using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Convert designs into responsive, cross-browser compatible front-end interfaces.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create engaging features and services.
  • Integrate essential e-commerce functionalities such as BigCommerce and Stripe.
  • Optimize e-commerce platform for speed, customer experience, and sales conversions.
  • Manage e-commerce settings, product configuration, and navigation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience with front-end development.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks (e.g., React.js, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Proficiency with Wix and ability to create and customize Wix templates.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with code quality, continuous delivery, and automated testing.
  • Experience working with a hybrid workforce.
  • Familiar with C# and capable of quickly learning backend frameworks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience designing components in Figma or equivalent design tools.
  • Comfortable integrating with a variety of RESTful APIs, socket-based communications, and GraphQL.
  • Experience building scalable, user-friendly web applications.
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment.
