Senior Full Stack Application Engineer

About the position

In this role, you will serve as a technical expert responsible for development and implementation of .Net related software projects in a series of business verticals. Successful candidates are expected to have experience participating in SCRUM practices, understand software design principals, skills in cloud development, unit testing, and DevOps. This senior role is expected to bring both empathy and technical expertise to help Axian's clients achieve their goals with technology. Experience authoring web services and data access are highly preferred. Comfort with a SPA (e.g., React/Angular) and other toolchain/runtimes (e.g., Node, Java, Python) are also an asset.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent 9 years of experience in Information Technology
• Experience creating automated unit tests
• Experience with Web-Service (REST) frameworks
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and patterns
• 5 years OO software development
• 4+ years working on enterprise level multi-tiered business applications
• 4+ years writing code in C#
• Experience with additional backend toolchains (Node, Java, Python)
• Solid understanding of SQL
• Experience working with .NET ORMs
• Cloud experience (Azure or AWS)
• Solid understanding of HTTP (headers, protocol, verbs, etc)
• JavaScript/TypeScript experience
• Solid understanding of SPA (React, Angular 2+)
• Modern CSS & HTML Proficiency
• 4+ years of UI & User Experience Design
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentation experience
• Ability to understand challenges or concerns, share ideas, and develop effective responses
• Ability to provide engineering task work effort estimates
• Proven ability to analyze performance issues using Java/.NET profiling tools
• Proven ability to work in a Test-Driven Development manner
• Proven experience working in conjunction with Project Managers, Account Managers, Business
