About the position

The Senior Full Stack Cloud Developer role involves leveraging advanced technology to address business challenges within a collaborative environment at a Fortune 500 transportation company. The position requires participation in all phases of the development process, advocating for agile methodologies and test-driven development, while focusing on enhancing the codebase through object-oriented development tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features in an iterative manner that contribute to a larger application.
• Modify and enhance existing software to add or change features, while continuously improving the codebase.
• Participate in the estimation of work as part of the overall agile process.
• Coordinate application implementation and test functionality to ensure specifications are met.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software development.
• Experience with Java 8 or above, Spring Boot, Spring Reactive, Spring Cloud, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of multi-threading concepts, TCP/IP, databases, and REST-based JSON APIs.
• Experience with build and deployment tools such as Maven, Git, and Junit.
• Experience building and working with DevOps Toolchains (GitHub actions, Jenkins).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work closely with a larger development team of varying skillsets.
• Experience and understanding of test-driven development.
• Experience with the scrum process.
• Experience with Reactive Programming and Event Driven architecture.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, Angular, or React.
• Experience in commercial software development.
• Knowledge of UI testing and continuous integration.
• DevOps knowledge, specifically with Jenkins and GitHub Enterprise.
• Experience with Angular 2+.
• Working knowledge of TDD / TDD mindset.
• Pair Programming experience.
