About the position

As a software engineer at Fidelity, you will play a crucial role in building solutions that support and scale the company's capabilities. This position involves working on entire features from concept to deployment within autonomous, cross-functional teams. You will have the opportunity to contribute ideas for product improvement, develop your skills, and learn new technologies. The role emphasizes creating rapid prototypes based on real-life feedback and requires a strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns to build highly scalable systems.

Responsibilities

  • Build entire features from concept to deployment as part of cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute ideas to improve products and develop skills in new technologies.
  • Create rapid prototypes based on real-life feedback.
  • Work closely with business units on re-engineering and automation efforts.
  • Develop best-in-class digital experiences for customers and associates.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in a major programming language and frameworks, particularly Java and Spring Boot.
  • Demonstrable experience with REST API Design & Development using Java or NodeJS.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining NodeJS and Python-based applications in a fast-paced Scrum environment.
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD using tools like Jenkins, uDeploy, and Cloud Formation.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as AngularJS, Angular, NGRX, and RXJS.
  • Hands-on experience with building RESTful Web Services/APIs and web containers.
  • Proven experience working in a Cloud environment using AWS, Azure, or Google.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Oracle and messaging technologies (EMS or KAFKA).
  • Strong experience with Automation Tools/Frameworks (JUnit, Cucumber, Mocha, Selenium, etc.).
  • Experience building container-based systems and managing orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, or ECS.
