About the position
LPL Financial is seeking an inspired Sr. Dev lead with a background in the development of cloud-native web applications leveraging technologies including C#, Angular, jQuery, and MS SQL Server. The candidate will guide a high-velocity, multi-functional development team focused on green-field technology platforms. Responsibilities include daily oversight of development and enhancement of prototypes to test design concepts for target state capabilities, using feedback to refine and progress towards a scalable platform. The role requires flexible thinking as the team integrates existing business and technology concepts with evolutionary design to deliver a practical and flexible platform.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and participate in activities which drive the design and development of high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance, using C#, AngularJS, jQuery, MS SQL Server
- Work with Product Owners and Product Managers to translate business problem statements into technical solutions, then help to plan Sprints that deliver quality demonstrations
- Assist in technical assessment of risks and issues, and document recommendations
- Coordinate solution design with leaders from Architecture, Data, Infrastructure, and Business to optimize speed to market and achieve prioritized business outcomes
- Coach the team in developing appropriate technical documentation in accordance with SDLC guidelines once production build commences
- Communicate with technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis as part of product support
Requirements
- 4+ Years of demonstrated development tech/team leadership
- 7+ Years of experience within a combination of .NET, Angular and JavaScript, SQL Server
- 3+ years of AWS experience, AWS (container and server-less), and/or front end technologies including CSS, Semantic HTML and Responsive Design
- Excellent knowledge of OOP concepts, data modeling design patterns/frameworks
- Team Foundation Server/ Visual Studio, TeamCity/Octopus
Nice-to-haves
- Finance Domain experience
- AWS Certified
- Good Understanding of Document Object Model (DOM) and DOM Functions
- Experience with DevOps, release management, and CI/CD
