About the position

Alvarez & Marsal's Gen AI Center of Excellence is seeking a Lead Developer - Fullstack to develop, deploy, and maintain both frontend and backend systems. This role emphasizes integrating AI capabilities into a cloud-based environment, enhancing customer success through robust and scalable products. The developer will work on internal tools and client-facing enterprise systems, contributing to all project lifecycle aspects.

Responsibilities

• Consult with internal clients and subject matter experts to understand problems.
• Build efficient and explainable code.
• Test work to a high standard.
• Review and approve others' pull requests.
• Mentor junior developers.
• Contribute to all aspects of a project's lifecycle: documenting requirements, solution development, system configuration, testing, debugging, and support.
• Develop the backend using Python and Django Ninja.
• Build and maintain a dynamic web application using React, TypeScript, and Chakra UI.
• Work with PostgreSQL for database management.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Django Ninja.
• Deploy and manage applications in the Azure cloud, integrating Azure OpenAI services.
• Lead development practices in Git (Azure DevOps).
• Incorporate advanced AI features through integration with the Azure OpenAI platform.
• Utilize React's state management for a seamless user experience.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to a small development team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in full stack development.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Chakra UI for frontend development.
• Proven experience with Python and Django for backend development.
• Experience deploying and managing applications in Azure cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database management.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as C#, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React.
• Proficiency in Git version control practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Azure OpenAI services.
• Familiarity with design and mocking tools like Invision or Figma.
