About the position

Cognizant Digital Engineering is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with expertise in React and Node.js to contribute to the full software development life cycle. The role emphasizes maintaining high-quality software systems, ensuring project security, and leveraging new technologies and tools. The developer will work in a hybrid environment, focusing on creating scalable software solutions that enhance customer and employee experiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform Python/Node development within a server and serverless architecture.
• Write effective API contracts and implementations.
• Participate in the design and creation of scalable software.
• Work as part of a development team in a fast-moving environment.
• Maintain the high quality of new software systems.
• Ensure software project security and utilize new tools and trends.

Requirements

• 8 to 10 years of software development experience.
• Confirmed experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Knowledge of Front End JavaScript frameworks (React, Typescript, Redux).
• Solid experience in ReactJS and Node.JS development.
• Expertise in UI development using ReactJS.
• Proficiency in HTML5/CSS3.
• Strong experience in building Node.JS concepts (event loop, cluster, memory management).
• Good experience of building RESTful web services.
• Strong experience in RDBMS databases.
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL and LDAP) and UI/UX design.
• Knowledge of coding standards, code reviews, source control management (Git, Gitlow), build processes (Maven), testing, and operations.
• Experience debugging and performance tuning applications and services.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, automation releases, CI/CD pipelines would be an added advantage.
