About the position
Join our fast-growing tech company as a Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus, where you'll support our engineering team by alleviating the workload of developers building new features and rearchitecting existing systems. This role involves enhancing our platform through backend improvements and preparing for seamless feature integration. You'll work alongside a dedicated team of five developers and four QA specialists, primarily based overseas, helping to balance workloads and drive our platform's growth. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on a team focused on developing new features while modernizing our platform.
Responsibilities
- Support the engineering team by alleviating the workload of developers building new features.
- Enhance the platform through backend improvements and prepare for seamless feature integration.
- Bridge frontend and backend development to ensure cohesive functionality.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of developers and QA specialists to balance workloads.
- Drive the platform's growth by modernizing and refactoring legacy systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in full stack development with a significant focus on backend engineering.
- Proficiency in Python, Django, and MySQL database management; familiarity with AWS is a strong plus.
- Experience in modernizing and refactoring legacy systems to support new functionality.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and improve conversion rates in complex, high-traffic systems.
- Frontend experience, preferably with React and basic JavaScript knowledge.
- Knowledge of current software design best practices, with the ability to implement efficient, scalable code.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, contributing to deployment processes, rearchitecting projects, and general code maintenance.
- Based in U.S. time zones for optimal collaboration with global team members.
