About the position
Fidelity Investments is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join the Universal Identity Platform (UID) team. This role focuses on building and managing robust data pipelines to serve millions of customers. The engineer will work on designing scalable data architectures, processing large volumes of data, and integrating cloud-based solutions, all while ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
Responsibilities
- Designing scalable data architectures for efficient data ingestion, processing, and storage.
- Processing large volumes of data in scheduled batches for timely analytics and reporting.
- Implementing Java Kafka consumers for real-time data stream management.
- Automating data workflows and performing complex transformations using Python.
- Leveraging AWS services like S3 and Lambda for cloud-based data solutions.
- Ensuring data integrity, consistency, and availability across systems.
- Fine-tuning data pipelines for maximum efficiency and reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent technology discipline.
- 5+ years of enterprise IT development experience.
- High proficiency in Python and Java development.
- Experience with event streaming technology Kafka.
- Expertise in AWS services.
- Experience with SQL; PL/SQL experience is a bonus.
- Experience in handling data and building data management solutions.
- Knowledge of test automation and CI/CD pipeline automation, including GitHub, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
- Strong development and technical skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with large complex processes and systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytic skills for working with large datasets.
