About the position

The Senior Full Stack Java/Angular Developer will be responsible for leveraging cutting-edge technology to solve business problems in a collaborative environment at a Fortune 500 transportation company. This role involves participating in all phases of the development process, advocating for agile methodologies and test-driven development, and improving the codebase through object-oriented development practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify complex, deadline-intensive and/or mission-critical applications using advanced programming tools.
• Document all code using standard forms and procedures, and review others' work as appropriate.
• Assist others in the use of programming tools and recommend tools to best meet application needs.
• Recommend process, methodology, and tool changes in conjunction with Architects and QA to best meet the needs of the department and client.
• Work with Quality Assurance to participate in unit, system, and user acceptance testing based on an understanding of the development lifecycle.
• Participate in architectural recommendations/decisions and work with other infrastructure groups to determine and implement complex system hardware requirements.
• Provide the highest level of technical production support for applications, assisting others with complex problem resolution and responding to functional and technical issues in a timely manner.
• Work with Business System Analysts, Project Managers, or other management to recommend process or system enhancements.
• Collaborate with DBAs, Architects, and other team members to ensure logical and physical data models and relationship diagrams are completed and executed according to methodology and user requirements.

Requirements

• Expertise in Core Java and jUnit.
• Experience in Spring MVC.
• Experience in Hibernate.
• Experience with Git merging and branching strategies.
• Proficiency in AngularJS, Angular 2 or above, HTML, CSS.
• Experience in Java Multi-threading.
• Experience with Azure App Services, Logic App, Azure Container Instance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
• 8+ years of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience and/or agile software development methodologies.
• 8+ years of Java development experience.
• 6+ years of experience with AngularJS/Angular.
• 4+ years of experience in Azure Cloud - App Services, Container Instance, Logic Apps, Terraform.
• Exposure to cloud-based deployments, ADO DevOps, CI/CD deployment pipeline, GitHub (ADOGit), Jenkins, SonarQube, Urban Code Deploy-UCD, Coverity, JFrog X-Ray & Artifactory.
