About the position

The Senior Full Stack (Java, Angular) Software Engineer position is a contract-to-hire role within a giant healthcare organization, focused on developing healthcare applications for both external and internal customers. This fully remote position requires extensive experience in Java and Angular, and involves working collaboratively in a Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop healthcare applications used by external and internal customers
• Work with Product owner and other team members to develop software using Scrum methodology
• Participate in peer reviews
• Build quality code and improve code quality and maintainability of existing code
• Support production issues, helping triage and resolve developed software issues quickly

Requirements

• 10+ years of Java experience and experience with Java 8 or higher
• Strong experience with the Spring framework - Spring Security, Spring MVC, Spring Boot
• 2+ years of recent Angular development experience
• Experience with collections framework / streams, multi-threading and tuning applications for performance optimization and synchronization
• Understanding of the Spring Boot cross-cutting concerns provided by Spring Boot Actuator/Spring Security/metrics, bean life cycle, etc.
• Strong proficiencies in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
• Experience with Oracle and other relational databases
• Experience with Maven, Git, and Jenkins
• Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes
• Agile and SAFe development environment experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
