The Senior Full Stack Java / API Developer position is a contract role lasting for 12 months, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent position. This role requires candidates to work on-site with a hybrid work schedule, meaning that remote work is not an option. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate within commuting distance of Pittsburgh PA, Cleveland OH, Birmingham AL, Dallas TX, or Phoenix AZ. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in full-stack Java development, particularly in software maintenance, upgrades, and security within a Linux environment. In this role, the developer will be responsible for working on API integrations with enterprise applications and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, as well as contributing to the automation of metadata functions. The position involves maintaining and upgrading software in a production environment, implementing Docker containers, and managing security fixes in Linux. The developer will also be tasked with developing and integrating APIs with enterprise applications and AI tools using approved gateways, contributing to full-stack Java development projects, designing and developing RESTful APIs, managing JDBC connections and integrations, and implementing OAuth authentication for API security. This position is critical for ensuring the smooth operation and security of software applications, and the successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing the functionality and performance of the systems in place.
