The Senior Full Stack Java / API Developer position is a contract role lasting for 12 months, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent position. This role requires candidates to work on-site with a hybrid work schedule, meaning that remote work is not an option. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate within commuting distance of cities such as Pittsburgh PA, Cleveland OH, Birmingham AL, Dallas TX, or Phoenix AZ. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in full-stack Java development, particularly in software maintenance, upgrades, and security within a Linux environment. In this role, the developer will be responsible for API integrations with enterprise applications and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, as well as contributing to the automation of metadata functions. Key responsibilities include maintaining and upgrading software in a production environment, implementing Docker containers, managing security fixes in Linux, and developing and integrating APIs with enterprise applications and AI tools using approved gateways. The developer will also design and develop RESTful APIs, manage JDBC connections and integrations, and implement OAuth authentication for API security. This position requires a strong technical skill set, including experience in maintaining and developing software in production, Docker, Java/J2EE/Spring Boot, API design and development, JDBC connections, Linux scripting knowledge, and OAuth authentications for REST APIs. Familiarity with Hadoop, PostgreSQL, and Python programming is considered a plus, enhancing the candidate's profile for this role.
