About the position

RP Professional Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Full Stack React/Node.js Developer to support the modernization of business processes and technology stacks for U.S. Federal agencies. This role involves working closely with end users to identify areas for improvement and gaps in current technology tools, utilizing the latest React, Node.js, and AWS Serverless technologies. The position requires participation in Agile Software Development, from requirements gathering through coding and testing, while ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the team.

Responsibilities

• Support the modernization of client business processes and technology stack.
• Work with end users to identify areas of improvement and gaps in technology tools.
• Participate in Agile Software Development for systems supporting client missions.
• Engage in software development from requirements gathering through coding and testing.
• Communicate project status, including issues and risks, to the team.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve problems and meet client needs.
• Learn new technologies and skills in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in a development environment.
• Experience with React UI or related UI frameworks (Angular).
• Experience with Node.js.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Tools.
• Ability to understand complex business processes and their relation to supporting systems.
• Ability to research problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• Knowledge of Node.js (preferred).
• Experience with AWS Lambda (preferred).
• Experience with SPA concepts and libraries (preferred).
• Experience with agile and DevOps tools, such as Git, Jenkins, Cloudbees, React Testing Library, Jest (preferred).
• Experience with relational database structures and Dynamo DB (highly preferred).
