About the position

RP Professional Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Full Stack React/Node.js Developer to support the modernization of business processes and technology stacks for U.S. Federal agencies. This role involves working closely with end users to identify areas for improvement and gaps in current technology tools, utilizing the latest React/Node.js/AWS Serverless technology stack. The position encompasses the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to coding and testing, within an Agile Software Development environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with end users to identify areas of improvement and gaps in current technology tools.
• Develop software from the requirements gathering phase through coding and testing.
• Communicate status including issues and risks to the team.
• Collaborate with team members to reach problem resolution.
• Learn new skill sets on the job in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in a development environment.
• Experienced full stack application developer.
• Experience with React UI or related UI frameworks (Angular).
• Experience with Node.js.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Tools.
• Ability to understand complex business processes and how they relate to the systems supporting them.
• Ability to research problems, identify a root cause, and recommend and implement a solution.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
• Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Must be a U.S Citizen.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• Knowledge of Node.js (preferred).
• Experience with AWS Lambda (preferred).
• Experience with the SPA concept and libraries (preferred).
• Experience with agile and DevOps tools, such as Git, Jenkins, Cloudbees, React Testing Library, Jest (preferred).
• Experience with relational database structures, and Dynamo DB (highly preferred).
