About the position

The Senior Full Stack Software Development Engineer at CVS Health is responsible for building and delivering high-quality software solutions that enhance customer and associate experiences. This role involves supporting all phases of software engineering, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior team members. The position emphasizes engineering excellence and innovation in modernizing technologies within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deliver high quality software to enhance customer and associate experiences
  • Support all phases of software engineering including requirements, analysis, design, coding, testing and deployment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions that align with business needs
  • Lead and mentor other junior members on the team
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using best practices and design patterns
  • Perform unit testing, perform integration testing, and participate in code reviews

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience working in enterprise applications
  • Strong programming experience in languages such as Python, JavaScript, SQL, Typescript
  • Database experience with MongoDB

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and NodeJS
  • Hands-on experience in building production-ready solutions in public cloud environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
  • Experience in UI frameworks such as NodeJS, Angular, and React
  • Experience in container orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes and Docker Swarm
  • Working experience with relational and non-relational databases
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevSecOps automation
  • Experience with open-source toolkits/frameworks
  • Experience working with large datasets
  • Experience in microservice architecture, RESTful and GraphQL
  • Knowledge and working experience in agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban
  • Familiarity with the healthcare/insurance industry
  • Cloud certification in GCP, AWS, or Azure
