About the position

The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, Front-End Focused role is designed for an experienced software developer with a strong emphasis on front-end technologies. This position involves working remotely while being located in the Bay Area, focusing on building and enhancing large web applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern web development practices and tools, particularly in JavaScript and React, and will be responsible for developing high-performance front-end solutions that integrate seamlessly with distributed backend systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain large web applications with a focus on front-end technologies.
• Implement responsive layouts using HTML/CSS based on provided mockups.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate front-end components with high-performance backend systems.
• Utilize modern web development tools and frameworks, including React and NodeJS.
• Participate in planning, documenting, testing, and releasing features or products.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience working on large web applications.
• Proficiency with JavaScript, CSS, ES6+, NodeJS, React, Redux, and modern web development toolchain.
• Strong understanding of software development fundamentals and Git.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of HTML5 architecture and CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap) and preprocessors (e.g., Sass).
• Experience with functional programming design patterns.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Experience building lightweight layouts for mobile devices and touch interfaces.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins and Docker.
• Experience with relational and graph databases and optimizing queries.
• Experience with PHP and popular frameworks.
