Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

About the position

The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Ditto will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that leverage edge devices. This role involves working across the entire technology stack, focusing on backend development using Rust or Golang and frontend development using React. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences and contribute to the software development lifecycle, while also mentoring junior engineers and improving development processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and maintainable full-stack software using either Rust or Golang for the backend, and React for the frontend
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, QA) to gather requirements, brainstorm solutions, and deliver exceptional user experiences
• Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from ideation and design to implementation, testing, and deployment
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other engineers
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry best practices
• Mentor junior engineers and share your expertise
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues
• Contribute to the improvement of our development processes and tools
• Tier 2 on-call for services that are owned by your team

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering
• Strong proficiency in either Rust or Golang, with experience building backend HTTP-based SaaS products
• Experience with React and TypeScript
• Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for building high-quality software and solving challenging problems
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience writing GraphQL APIs

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
