About the position

As a Senior Full Stack/Front-end Software Engineer with RGi, your role will be to support the modernization of a system that incorporates the latest technologies in Cloud Computing, AI/ML, and DevSecOps to provide Computer Vision capabilities. In this position, you will be expected to think creatively and apply UX design principles in designing, implementing, testing, and integrating new and updated front-end components using Svelte. You will work as a key member of a tight-knit agile development team, contributing to the development of solutions that support critical missions for the U.S. Government. Your work will involve collaborating with other team members to create innovative and meaningful solutions that provide value to end-users. Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Product and Product design teams to understand the technical challenges of features and determine the feasibility and viability of feature sets and requests
  • Enforce strong coding best practices, guidelines, and standards throughout the team
  • Ensure that all code is clearly tested from end-to-end
  • Help solve issues at all levels, including code modularity and re-use
  • Foster a collaborative environment and be a good role model within the team
  • Work closely with internal and external APIs and backend engineers to establish best practices for models and contracts
  • Be an evangelist for front end development, detail oriented with a passion for leading by example
  • Use your understanding of task runners and build frameworks to develop and evolve CI/CD
  • Enjoy a flexible work schedule within an accommodating team environment

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance with willingness and ability to obtain an SCI and CI polygraph
  • US Citizenship required
  • 10+ years of experience as a software engineer with user interface development in Angular, React, Svelte, or similar framework
  • Experience creating and maintaining Enterprise web applications and integrating with back end services
  • Strong experience in CSS and creating page layouts using component libraries and toolkits

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of architecture styles and APIs including REST
  • Understanding of GIS concepts (ESRI tools, OGC Standards)
  • Experience working with CI pipelines
  • Experience with ElasticSearch and Kibana
  • Experience with AWS environments
  • Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment
  • Security+ Certification
