About the position
The Senior Full-Stack Web Applications Software Engineer will join the Hardware Infrastructure team to develop and maintain infrastructure for scalable web services and data processing tools. This role involves both backend and frontend development, focusing on high-quality production standards and supporting large-scale data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Working on backend and frontend design and development of web applications.
- Collecting requirements and providing consultation to end users about their needs and use cases.
- Analyzing performance bottlenecks.
- Supporting and maintaining large scale data platforms with high QoS.
- Building infrastructure and microservices for various big-data scenarios.
Requirements
- Bachelors in computer science or related engineering or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Proven knowledge of Java Language, common Java APIs and JVM, Javascript, and Node.js.
- Experience with SQL and at least one SQL database server.
- Detailed knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Elastic Stack and/or OpenSearch.
- Background with Kafka or other message queues.
- Experience diagnosing resource bottlenecks and performance analysis of distributed applications.
- Experience working with concurrent and distributed frameworks and LGTM.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with design and development of distributed microservices and database concepts.
- Background with MongoDB, Hadoop, Spark, and/or the Confluence plugin framework.
- Experience with defining KPM's and collecting metrics for application performance.
- Experience diagnosing and debugging LGTM systems.
- Knowledge of Vue.js, as well as Python or Golang.
