About the position

Updater, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Fullstack Engineer to join the MoveHQ division, focusing on enhancing the move management platform. This role involves both frontend and backend development, contributing to the platform's robustness, scalability, and functionality while fostering a collaborative engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and integration of new platform capabilities and product features using Ruby and Python.
• Collaborate with the team to optimize the platform's software quality, reliability, and performance standards.
• Guide the implementation of complex projects within the MoveHQ product roadmap as a senior technical member.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and promote best practices in Ruby, Python, and fullstack development.
• Oversee and refine the CI/CD pipelines for team-managed applications to facilitate agile deployment processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of web development experience with substantial expertise in Ruby and Python.
• Experience with front-end technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and ship robust, scalable SaaS solutions.
• Previously held senior roles in fast-paced, collaborative environments, preferably in startups.
• Strong experience with relational databases and ORM frameworks.
• Proficient in modern testing frameworks and committed to high-quality software solutions.
• Deep familiarity with agile methodologies, using tools like Scrum and Jira.
• Proficient with CI/CD tools and practices such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
