About the position

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack IoT Engineer to join our remote team, focusing on building cloud-based logistics and IoT systems for autonomous vehicles. This role involves API development, simulation testing, and cloud infrastructure management, emphasizing real-time communication between autonomous vehicles and cloud systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies and a passion for taking ownership of the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing bi-directional communication systems using MQTT protocols for high-frequency IoT data transmission.
• Build and maintain domain-specific APIs in Python, running on AWS services, to handle mission-critical logistics and vehicle data.
• Work with AWS services such as Kinesis for data streaming and DynamoDB/NoSQL for real-time data storage.
• Participate in unit and simulation testing to ensure the safety and reliability of the vehicle systems.
• Contribute to front-end development using React or Vue, focusing on RESTful APIs and microservices for real-time data visualization and processing.
• Support the development of systems that monitor and communicate vehicle health, mission status, and logistics information to customers.
• Participate in 2-week sprints, managing your own code, testing, and release cycles in a decoupled environment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development, particularly in full-stack roles.
• Proficiency in React or Vue for front-end development.
• Strong experience with Python for API development.
• Familiarity with IoT systems and protocols, particularly MQTT.
• Experience with AWS services, including Kinesis and DynamoDB.
• Strong understanding of unit testing and cloud infrastructure.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with logistics systems, such as EDI for legacy systems integration.
• Interest in working with autonomous vehicle technologies.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
