About the position

The Senior Functional Product Analyst role at Highmark Health involves supporting various analytical aspects of the product management lifecycle. This position requires collaboration with customers and stakeholders to understand complex needs, create business cases, and translate high-level business requirements into detailed specifications. The analyst will also perform data analysis to identify business problems and recommend process improvements, while ensuring the delivery of quality solutions in alignment with product strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with customers, business stakeholders, vendors, and IT delivery partners to capture capability needs and drive quality business solutions.
  • Create and maintain deliverables such as business vision, business requirements, customer personas, and product capability roadmaps.
  • Participate in the full product management delivery life cycle, leveraging knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies to manage product requirements and delivery plans.
  • Lead business analysis, requirements definition, documentation, and user acceptance testing to minimize production defects.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, reporting project status and supporting delivery of solutions.
  • Contribute to project plans and reviews to ensure alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with required standards and obtain necessary approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance and best practices to junior resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field (or 6 years of related experience in lieu of a degree).
  • 5 years of experience in a Business Analysis and/or Analyst role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in Lean/Six Sigma and/or Process Improvement.
  • 3 years of experience in the Health Insurance Industry.
  • 3 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry.
  • 1 year of experience supporting product management and/or capability delivery.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Business Analysis Professional (IIBA) certification.
  • Human Centered Design (HCD) / Design Thinking certification.
