About the position

The Senior Functional Product Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the product management lifecycle by collaborating with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into detailed business requirements. This position involves performing advanced analysis, creating business cases, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality business solutions. The analyst will also mentor junior resources and contribute to the overall product strategy and roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with customers, business stakeholders, vendors, and IT delivery partners to capture capability needs and drive quality business solutions.
  • Create and maintain deliverables such as business vision, business requirements, customer personas, and product capability roadmaps.
  • Participate in the full product management delivery life cycle, leveraging knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies to manage product requirements and delivery plans.
  • Lead business analysis, requirements definition, and documentation to ensure minimal production defects and analyze results for customer impacts.
  • Effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders, assisting with business and product requirement walkthroughs and sprint reviews.
  • Actively participate in sprint plans and reviews to ensure product capability development aligns with customer needs.
  • Ensure compliance with required standards and obtain necessary approvals throughout the product management lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance to junior resources and share best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field (or 6 years of related experience in lieu of a degree).
  • 5 years in a Business Analysis and/or Analyst role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3 years in Lean/Six Sigma and/or Process Improvement.
  • 3 years in the Health Insurance Industry.
  • 3 years in the Healthcare Industry.
  • 1 year supporting product management and/or capability delivery.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Business Analysis Professional (IIBA) certification.
  • Human Centered Design (HCD) / Design Thinking certification.
