About the position

The Senior Fundraising Data Analyst at the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (MJFF) plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth through data insights and analytics. This position is part of the Fundraising Strategy and Operations (FSO) department, which focuses on optimizing fundraising efforts and expanding the foundation's revenue base. The analyst will collaborate with various teams to analyze data, develop reports, and provide strategic insights that support the foundation's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deliver, and maintain ongoing revenue metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, and other data solutions for the fundraising team.
  • Analyze and interpret datasets from multiple data sources to provide actionable insights and develop innovative data-driven solutions.
  • Partner with the Growth & Innovation team to lead the revenue forecasting process by developing, optimizing, and maintaining a dynamic forecasting model.
  • Support the annual planning process, developing and reporting key performance indicators based on North Star objective key results (OKRs).
  • Combine budget, cost, and revenue data to generate insight on return on investment and cost per dollar raised (CPDR).
  • Develop a donor lifecycle model to map and visualize the constituent journey, offering data-driven recommendations to enhance the constituent experience.
  • Collaborate with the Growth & Innovation team and other analysts on prospecting analysis, recommending criteria to facilitate prospecting efforts.
  • Review and monitor BI platform reporting to enable effective decision-making by aggregating data insights from multiple sources.
  • Communicate and present observations and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in Data Science, Analytics, Financial Analytics, Business Intelligence or consulting with measurable success.
  • Commitment to data hygiene, project management, and customer service.
  • Experience building customized and interactive dashboards with BI tools such as Tableau, Domo, Power BI, etc.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex analytics to a diverse audience.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen multi-tasker able to support diverse teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases; proficiency in Python, R, SPSS, and other scripting languages is preferred.
  • Experience with CRM, especially Salesforce, is preferred.
  • Experience with financial planning systems is preferred.
