About the position

The Senior GenAI Developer will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining an enterprise-level RAG application in Azure. This role requires expertise in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, backend and frontend development, and AI engineering, particularly in the context of Azure services and tools. The position is hybrid, based in Chicago, IL, and is expected to last between 6 to 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an enterprise-level RAG application in Azure.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Manage Azure cloud infrastructure and services, including Azure OpenAI, CosmosDB, and Azure Functions.
• Develop backend services in Python, integrating with Azure services.
• Create and manage document processing pipelines for language translation and embedding text chunks.
• Ensure smooth communication between the frontend and backend APIs.
• Implement security measures for both backend and frontend applications.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure OpenAI, CosmosDB, and Azure Functions.
• Strong skills in Azure CLI, Azure DevOps, and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines and managing Docker containers.
• Proficiency in Python, Flask, and API development.
• Knowledge of React and Typescript for frontend development.
• Experience with security best practices in Azure, including Azure AD and OAuth.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for container orchestration.
• Experience with prompt engineering and embedding APIs for AI-driven search.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases and indexing/search techniques in CosmosDB.
