About the position
The Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician at Walmart is responsible for overseeing and supporting the repair and maintenance of HVAC/R equipment and other facilities within Walmart locations. This role involves utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, supervising a team, and ensuring adherence to maintenance schedules and guidelines. The technician will conduct inspections, perform repairs, and maintain a safe and efficient working environment, contributing to the overall excellence of Walmart's facilities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive and document reactive repair work orders.
- Provide prompt responses to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in facilities maintenance, particularly with HVAC/R systems.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and digital tools.
- Supervisory experience in a maintenance role.
