About the position

The Senior Human Resources Generalist/Payroll Specialist at Lifespace is responsible for collaborating with leadership on various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management. This role also involves administering payroll processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing employee onboarding and protected leaves. The position is integral to maintaining accurate payroll data and supporting the overall HR operations within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Consult and collaborate with Support Center leaders and directors of human resources regarding recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and performance management.
• Administer the onboarding of new hires for the Support Center.
• Administer human resource policies, procedures, and programs while ensuring compliance and confidentiality of information.
• Manage, track, administer, and support protected leaves and workers compensation claims for all Support Center team members.
• Act as the main point of contact between Lifespace and the payroll provider.
• Oversee the accurate collection and maintenance of payroll data, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and other adjustments.
• Regularly audit payroll data to ensure consistency and accuracy before submission to the third-party provider.
• Ensure that payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local tax regulations, wage laws, and labor standards.
• Manage the accurate filing of payroll taxes and compliance documentation, such as W-2s and 1099s.
• Review payroll reports from the third-party provider for accuracy and approve final payroll.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Three or more years of human resources generalist experience
• Three to five years of payroll experience

• PHR or SPHR certification preferred
