About the position

The Senior Genesys DevOps Engineer is responsible for supporting the development and execution of cloud implementation strategies within the organization's IT infrastructure. This role focuses on enhancing the Genesys Cloud infrastructure through automation and DevOps principles, ensuring efficient platform monitoring and data recovery. The position requires a high degree of autonomy and initiative, with responsibilities that include designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions focusing on DevOps practices, automation, and RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate cloud solutions and identify automation opportunities.
• Drive the adoption of DevOps tools and methodologies to streamline deployment pipelines and improve release cycles.
• Work with Genesys Cloud data leaders to develop specifications for new cloud services emphasizing automated and resilient infrastructure.
• Audit the deployment of Genesys Cloud environments, monitor performance, and document enhancements for efficiency.
• Leverage automation frameworks to reduce manual intervention and optimize infrastructure management using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Implement and consume REST APIs for seamless integration across cloud services and internal systems.
• Guide the team in designing robust cloud solutions and contribute to the overall cloud infrastructure roadmap.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud solutions, DevOps, and infrastructure with a focus on automation and API integrations.
• Proven experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Proficiency in RESTful API design and integration to support automation and service interactions.
• Strong automation skills with scripting and tools to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or 8+ years in a related field.
• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and monitoring/alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
