About the position

The Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer plays a pivotal role in guiding the development and execution of sophisticated cloud strategies and automation initiatives within the organization's Genesys Cloud infrastructure. This position focuses on leveraging DevOps principles, REST API integrations, and automated solutions to enhance platform monitoring and data recovery efficiencies, ultimately contributing to the organization's overall cloud strategy and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions with a focus on DevOps practices, automation, and RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to evaluate cloud solutions and identify opportunities for automation.
• Drive the adoption of DevOps tools and methodologies to streamline deployment pipelines and improve release cycles.
• Work closely with Genesys Cloud data leaders to develop specifications for new cloud services emphasizing automated and resilient infrastructure.
• Audit the deployment of multiple Genesys Cloud environments and document potential enhancements for efficiency.
• Leverage automation frameworks to reduce manual intervention and optimize infrastructure management.
• Implement and consume REST APIs for seamless integration across various cloud services and internal systems.
• Guide the team in designing robust cloud solutions and contribute to the overall cloud infrastructure roadmap.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud solutions, DevOps, and infrastructure, focusing on automation and API integrations.
• Proven experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Proficiency in RESTful API design and integration to support automation and service interactions.
• Strong automation skills with scripting and tools to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or 8+ years related field.
• Experience with additional DevOps practices, including containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and monitoring/alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
