About the position

The Senior Geospatial Analyst at Reinventing Geospatial (RGi) plays a crucial role in supporting Defense, Intelligence, and Federal clients by leveraging geospatial intelligence to enhance mission success. This position involves a blend of data extraction, analysis, and the development of geospatial products, utilizing advanced software and methodologies. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with extensive experience in geospatial analysis, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Extract data from GIS software and apply various analysis methods to derive results.
  • Provide maps and data sets to clients to support analysis.
  • Support database development for creating cartographic and digital data products.
  • Perform data conversion, migration, and translation activities using advanced processing techniques.
  • Design and implement efficient production tools and coordinate workflow with project personnel.
  • Finish remote sensing data, maintain cartographic databases, and update cartographic data from intelligence databases.
  • Produce mission-specific data sets.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience with at least 5 years as a GIS or Geospatial Analyst in the Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Experience with Web Mapping Applications (ArcGIS Portal and Online) and various map services (WMS, WMTS, WCS, WFS).
  • Knowledge of enterprise geodatabases and database management, including PostgreSQL and SQL Server (2012 or higher).
  • Familiarity with military applications of geospatial analytics and intelligence systems of the Army, including DCGS-A.
  • Understanding of GIS theory and applications.
  • Knowledge of GIS software and technology, including AGC's Common Map Background (CMB) GEOINT datasets and web mapping applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified GIS Professional (GISP) certification.
  • National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) GEOINT Professional certification.
  • Army GEOINT/Imagery Analyst Leadership Course or comparable certification.
  • Experience operating National and Tactical GEOINT systems and associated tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
