SAIC is seeking a Senior Geospatial Cybersecurity Analyst to support our Department of the Interior (DOI) Customer. This position is fully remote, allowing candidates to work from anywhere within the United States. The selected candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for cloud system security and will collaborate directly with the GeoPlatform Executive Management Team. This role is integral to a dynamic and energized team working on a leading-edge technology program that is mission-critical to DOI objectives. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be responsible for all aspects of security services for the program. This includes monitoring, vulnerability scanning and management, as well as incident detection and response services. Your efforts will be crucial in protecting endpoints, email, web, systems, applications, and networks from security breaches and attacks. You will also be involved in the overall sustainment and operations and maintenance (O&M) efforts for all of DOI OCIO GeoPlatform's planned and existing portfolio of applications, ensuring compliance with DoD and DCSA cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards, including Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance standards. In this role, you will design, test, and implement secure operating systems and networks, manage security monitoring, and oversee the tuning of IT security systems and applications. You will also be responsible for incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions. Conducting risk and vulnerability assessments at the network, system, and application levels will be a key part of your responsibilities, along with performing threat modeling exercises. You will develop and implement security controls and formulate operational risk mitigations, while also assisting in security awareness programs. Your involvement will span a wide range of security issues, including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access. Additionally, you will research, evaluate, and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies, introducing them to the enterprise in alignment with the IT security strategy.
