This position is located in Puerto Rico and requires the ability to travel around the island to meet with clients and stakeholders. Commutable to our Guaynabo, PR, ICF office for essential meetings. Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, and optimization of spatial databases and map services.
  • Support back-end development for web-based geospatial applications including geoprocessing and internal APIs.
  • Recommend approaches to meeting a diverse set of end user needs through the implementation of data pipelines.
  • Support strategic thinking and automation processes related to infrastructure, web mapping platforms, and geodatabase schema design.
  • Perform data profiling and analysis for spatial and non-spatial data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (e.g., Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline).
  • 8+ years of experience managing enterprise geodatabases.
  • 8+ years of experience with ArcGIS Enterprise (Server and Portal).
  • 8+ years of experience managing back-end database processing and infrastructure using ETL scripts such as Python.
  • US Citizenship is required (required by the federal government for this position).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% in Puerto Rico as requested.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Design practices for relational and columnar databases.
  • Familiarity with managing and tuning web servers and GIS servers.
  • Familiarity with syncing mobile/field data.
  • Familiarity with cloud solutions for data management and ETL.
  • Demonstrated experience showing strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills paired with a desire to take initiative.
