About the position

The Senior GIS Software Developer (ESRI/SAP) - Consultant role involves developing and implementing GIS solutions, particularly focusing on SAP integration and ESRI platforms. This position requires a strong background in full-stack GIS development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with stakeholders in the utilities industry. The consultant will be expected to work onsite three days a week in Los Angeles, CA, and will be engaged on a contract basis with potential for extension or full-time hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement GIS solutions on ESRI ArcGIS platforms including FieldMaps.
• Integrate SAP S4 with GIS and manage SAP Spatial Asset Management.
• Design and develop business applications in an online environment.
• Utilize HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular), and REST APIs for ArcGIS Portal/Enterprise.
• Create mobile GIS field applications for Windows and iOS devices using ArcGIS Runtime SDK.
• Work with ArcGIS desktop applications, specifically ArcGIS Pro.
• Manage spatial databases and real-time GIS applications.
• Apply machine learning or AI techniques to geospatial datasets.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide consultative support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (e.g., Geographical Information System).
• 5 years of senior-level experience in business application design, development, installation, and modification in an online environment.
• Proficient with SAP S4 integration with GIS and knowledge of SAP Spatial Asset Management.
• Experience with developing/implementing solutions on ESRI ArcGIS platforms including FieldMaps.
• Experience with ArcGIS Portal/Enterprise using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular), and REST APIs.
• Experience with Mobile GIS field applications (Windows and iOS devices) using ArcGIS Runtime SDK.
• Experience with ArcGIS desktop applications - ArcGIS Pro.
• Experience in .NET framework, C#, Python using ESRI libraries and SQL.
• Experience with spatial databases and real-time GIS applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Utilities industry experience is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of DevOps tools and practices.
• Knowledge of machine learning or AI as applied to geospatial datasets.
